VICTORY …..

The Victory motorcycles arrived today and what amazing bikes they are!  Being a long time Harley fan, I didn’t think that a different make of American V-Twin would quite measure up but these Arlen Ness motorcycles definitely impressed me and all the people who were watching while Gregg Webb Motorcycle transport off-loaded them.

There are three different families – the Sporty 8-Ball, the Cruisers and the Touring bikes.   Something for everyone and every fantasy – choose from The Vegas, Kingpin, Vegas Jackpot, Hammer, The Cross Roads Core Custom, Cross Country and Vision Tours – you’ll be spoilt for choice.  Watch the slide show, enjoy and judge for yourself!!!  Visit The Viper Lounge and see for yourself!!!

Some REALLY exciting news from our side ……….

As of the 16th of August,  THE VIPER LOUNGE is now also the official VICTORY DEALERSHIP for Cape Town (aka VICTORY – CAPE TOWN ) and we’re very upbeat about getting our first stock of new bikes soon.

The quick history is that VICTORY has been around for about 12 years now and they build a superb machine which is backed by POLARIS.

POLARIS in turn is HUGE (in the USA) so we’re happy that we’ve got some very solid backing for this make and we’ve recently heard that they have also bought the rights to manufacture the iconic INDIAN MOTORCYCLE so watch this space.

“Behind the scenes” we’re also delighted that we can now offer you the services of one of only THREE, fully qualified Masters of Technology Mechanics on the African Continent and we welcome PAUL BARNARD who is already hard at it in our workshop.

Towards the end of this month we will also have our own, fully automated tyre fitment centre and as such we’ll really be able to offer you a one stop, all round facility not to mention our great clothing and accessories.

Needless to say our bar, bistro, catering and FREE function facilities are available to you as always so what are you waiting for ?

WOW!

Only one word can describe the amazing turnout we had in support of the Journey of Hope breast cancer awareness ride to Eerste Rivier on Women’s Day.  All in all, we had over 100 bikes arriving at The Viper Lounge and about another 50 riders who followed the Journey of Hope ladies to Kleinvlei.

It was wonderful to see the community of Kleinvlein in Elsies River celebrate Women’s Day.  We take so much for granted, the community there is so incredibly poor and one of the big attractions of the day was the soup kitchen for the kids – a cup of soup and slice of white bread.  Sadly, for some of them, this could be their only meal of the day – a sobering thought.

The Journey of Hope ladies all stood up and gave a speech on their experience with breast cancer.  Early detection being the main message with prevention being better than cure.  The drummies and marching band entertained all the bikers and after a photo opportunity with bikes, we all headed back to The Viper Lounge for the afternoon.

All in all, it was a brilliant day.  A huge big thank you to the Friendly Grocer 7/11 across the road from The Viper Lounge for the sponsorship of the croissants, cheese & jam for breakfast, to Think Bike for their support, Yooti Nail & Body Art for the gifts for the Journey of Hope ladies, Honda for the motorcycles and to the Road Captain Wayne Whitcomb and Sweep Arthur Crick from Top 2 Training and to all the bikers who supported on the day.

Enjoy the pictures, courtesy of Paul Hofman and Tiaan van Dieventer.
